I've had the most amazing (and sleep deprived) start to 2010, so I thought I'd drop you a quick line to you show just some of the things I've been up to, other than having my car towed out of various snow drifts across Aberdeenshire...

First up, some new work for the boys at BrewDog. This is just a sneaky preview, there will be a full post with lots of inky images over on the BrewDog Blog in the next couple of days.

TwitterPicture 2. This time round I drew for 24 hours non stop and streamed the whole process live via my website. 6000 viewers watched my right hand as I diligently penned all of the 266 weird and wonderful suggestions into the second of my TwitterPicture projects. Just 1 week later, all 100 limited edition screen prints were sold-out. Interactive Art, Crowd Sourced Collaboration, use all the buzz words you like, this was a tasty little project which captured imaginations and brought the magic of hand drawing to life. A big thanks goes to Hampton Associates in Aberdeen & PunkDog.com who sponsored the project this time.

Computer Arts Projects asked me to contribute an illustration to their Handmade v Digital issue (out now!). As part of their Designer Challenge they asked 4 illustrators (2 digital, 2 hand drawn) to create an image which represented their take on the handmade v digi debate. My piece depicts depressed little Vector-bots, caged and restricted by the limits of the digital world, whilst above, hand drawn foliage grows wild, blossoms and sporadically bursts into little areas of curios and delight. All hand drawn in pen and ink, one sheet of paper, 4 pens, 1 big imagination.

And finally, I launched my Desktop Wallpaper Calendars in January, kicking off with 10 Inquisitive Owls. Each month I'll be creating a multiple of 10 image inspired by Twitter suggestions. This month's romantically themed 10 Robots in Love is still available it download. Get your thinking cap on for March, I'll be opening up the Twitter suggestion box in the last week of February.... 10 polka for Hippos? 10 pensioner Giraffes?
And now the pitch: if you've got this far you must like the work, my style of working or are intrigued and want to see more! Plenty more info and images in the Commissions part of my site and you can follow my day to day inky adventures on Twitter
I draw by hand, predominately-although not exclusively- in black and white, I create the most intrinsically charming and beautiful images I can and I work bloody hard - if these sound like qualities you need in your next job, ring me.
If you'd like to know more, talk about a possible commission or request more images, drop me a line and we'll have a chat.
Oh and before I forget, the first image here is part of the collaboration I did with comedy extraordinaire and Vector Wizard, Sooper Double D for the Central Station Pop-up tour in Dundee. Look at Lyle's awesome work here and join Central Station's super cool creative network here. Both are excellent.
