TwitterTotes

This week I put the pens and pencils away and made room on my desk for the  sewing machine.

Following the second #TwitterPicture event in January, I had the artwork digitally printed onto some crisp heavy linen. The eclectic nature of twitterpicture makes it ripe for a little repeat printing and perfect for a busy all over print.

With a little chopping, measuring and sewing, I created the prototype TwitterTote - an eco friendly shopper with a smattering of hand penned ink; perfect for laptops or lapdogs (depending how much of a diva you are).

What do you think?

  • I really like it, you should definitely look into getting it made as a full scale production. Id definitely buy one! Means broke people like me can still own a bit of the twitter picture! :)

  • Hurray for hand drawn! This reminds me of the fascinating Wheres Waldo 80s illustrations Besides being visually stunning, the details could provide hours of interaction to anyone waiting in a long line or day tripping with children. Nice meeting you and your work.

  • Thats looking great! Its made me curious though... where did you get the pattern digitally printed onto linen? I have been looking into that and couldnt find anywhere specifically selling that service...
