Custom Converse     19th Jun 2010

A while ago I posted some images of my freshly pimped and inked white Converse All Stars. They seemed to go down pretty well, and I received some rather lovely >tweets and emails from footwear aficionados seeking their own pair of customised Converse.

After a week of paddling through rock pools and stomping in puddles to check the ink wouldn't run, I decided to go for it and ordered 4 pairs of All Stars and 50 black Sharpies.

Each of the 4 pairs of Custom Converse are completely unique and comes in a co-ordinating hand penned shoe box. All the shoes below are being sold in my one of a kind Inky All Star Auction. If you would like to get your hands (or feet) on a pair, all you have to do is bid. The opening bid on each pair is £35, the price of the blank shoes. After that it's up to you... How much would you pay for your very own piece of inky Converse couture?!

Petal Power versus the humble Polka Dot! This little mash-up features an explosion of teeny tiny floral freckles and seed pod starbursts over the entire shoe. Small and dainty, but with attention to detail that will make your toes feel special. Spotty has gone organic.

All the shoes are white canvas Converse All Stars and have been embellished using black Sharpie Rub-a-Dub laundry markers, so even if your socks get soggy, your ink won't run!

The Inky All Star Auction opens today, Saturday 19^th June and will be open for bids for one week, ending on Saturday 26^th June.
