As 2011 draws to a close, it's time to put down my pens and pencils and get all nostalgic. It's been my busiest year since starting up in 2006; I've worked for some amazing clients, tackled some pretty scary live drawing events, made some wonderful new friends and had a whole lot of fun. Obviously there's been some Epic Fail moments (the week that almost killed me, the bad, bad client who turned nasty and refused to pay and countless terrifying confrontations in the Post Office queue...) but all in all, 2011 has been pretty awesome!

My clients this year have included Crabtree and Evelyn, Absolut Vokda, Nike, Smart Car, Sony Music, The Famous Grouse, AnyForty, BrewDog, Angostura Rum, The Buchanan Galleries, The Harlequin Centre, Oxofrd University Press, Harper Collins and Schuh.

2011 has been the year that Thorntons shops up and down the country had an inky make-over...

... that the 9 legged Nonopus made a rare appearance for BrewDog's Sunk Punk

... that I drew on a Car, a giant Grouse and a Shop Window (in -4 degrees!)

And that I took my Campaign for the Christmas Cup to whole new levels!

... That Inky Advent counted down the digital doors to Christmas...

And that I worked on illustrations for the annual report of the brilliant PSYBT (who helped me get started all those years ago!). 

And finally, at the very end of 2011 I confirmed 2 of the most amazing projects I've worked on to date! 2 dream clients, 2 seriously awesome briefs and both to be revealed officially in January 2012. Until then, if you see me smiling smugly or skipping down the street, you'll know why!

I'm particularly excited to FINALLY be able to show you some work I created for Umbro and Line Skis in 2012 - 2 superstar clients who have tortured me with long lead times!

2012 looks set to be even busier than 2011, with my commissions book already filling up fast. Lots of amazing new inky projects to tackle and some pretty exciting things to share with you.

A big high five to everyone who I've been lucky enough to work with or for in 2011 and let's look forward to more epic inky adventures in 2012!
