Mother’s Day     6th Mar 2012

Mother’s Day

Forgetful sons and neglectful daughters, consider this a cyber knot in your handkerchief:

Mothering Sunday is the 18th of March this year and is almost upon us!

With just over a week to go there's just enough time to:

1. Learn to cook a roast dinner from scratch and surprise your Mum with the perfect Sunday Lunch.

Proper roast potatoes are compulsory, Aunt Bessie is not your friend.

She's not even your Auntie.

2. Pillage your relatives' photograph collections and create a "Our Family" album featuring the obligatory naked baby photo of yourself in the bath (embarrassing) and of your parents in their younger days looking like hippies (weird).

3. Go for the sentimental option.

Bribe a younger relative with gingerbread men and a puppy to draw a picture which you can then present to your Mum.

Ensure the artist is credited of course, along with their age, i.e. ‘ by Tom age 5 and ¾ ‘.

Splodgy hand prints and pasta pictures make Mums go weak at the knees.

4. Order a signed silk screen print!

Framed or unframed, art is a pretty cool gift.

And it lasts.

Chocolates get nibbled, perfume gets spritzed but Art, well, it will be there forever.

Reminding your Mum how much you love her.

#Win.

Some suggestions would be my LOVE print, Crazy Botanic or Konnichiwa.

You can see a whole plethora of inky offerings on my online shop.

Last orders for Mother's Day prints will be taken on Thursday 15th.

Crazy Botanic

Konnichiwa!

And all that remains for me to say is... Happy Mother's Day, Mum!

Jxxx
