Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I'm back at my desk and up to my ears in pens and sketchpads again. My sketchbooks are overflowing with ideas and projects that I will be tackling in 2009, ranging from the Alice in Wonderland textiles collection, to an installation at Canary Warf in London, a collaboration with Scottish fashion designer Graeme Armour for London Fashion Week and a very top secret little addition to my range of products (I'm very excited about this!). So many ides and so few hours in a day to fit them all in!

Today in the studio I had a jam packed day working on lots of little projects; a new textile design for Indigo, packaging up the first collection to be shown my Agent in Hong Kong and putting the finishing touches to my cousin's Save the Date cards for her wedding in September. A long and busy day, but plenty of cups of tea (drunk out my new Purple Pantone Mug, number 2583 C) and the reassuring calmness of Radio 4 in the background keeps me happy and the inspiration flowing.

One of my many New Years resolutions (along with eating more apples and phoning my Gran more) is to be a better blogger, so I'll be popping a few snap shots from the studio and my sketchbooks up here most days and letting you see what really goes on in my little black and white world! As for now, I'm off to bed to listen to the Shipping Forecast - I don't know why, but I love it. Perhaps I'll dream up some nautical ideas for tomorrow's drawings...
