Gate crashing my way into Tate Modern
Tate Modern, somewhat unbelievably, marks its 10
ef=”http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/nosoulforsale/default.shtm” target=”_blank”>th Birthday this month and are having a bit of a party to celebrate. The boys at BrewDog were commissioned to create a very special birthday beer to kick start the festivities and they asked me to come up with a suitably arty label for such a grand occasion.
The result is 4000 limited edition, silk screen printed labels, 2000 in black on white and 2000 in white on black. Each one was delicately printed by hand, then painstakingly (literally) trimmed on the cutting mat with a scalpel and rule.
The beer is a 5.6 Blonde Belgian Saison brewed with spices and infused with vanilla beans, beautifully presented in a little green champagne bottle, corked and wrapped up in one of my labels. Keep an eye out for a few monochrome posters too.
The beer is available exclusively from Tate Modern, head down there from May 14th to take part in the Birthday celebrations and sample some truly art infused beer.
As for me, I’m off to add “as seen in Tate Modern” to all my bios… 😉
