Enchanted Forest x Cult Pens

This month I’m launching my new book, Enchanted Forest and to celebrate I’ve teamed up with the good folk at Cult Pens to share with you some my favourite Staedtler pens and pencils for colouring.

We’ve got 2 copies of the book to give away (complete with my little test sections and the odd hidden doodle!) as well as all the pens and pencils featured in the this blog. To enter, all you have to do is LIKE our post on Facebook. Winners will be picked at random on 30th April.

First up we have my trusty favouties the Staedtler triplus fineliners. I love these vibrant little fiber tips and they are always on my desk. The colours are bright and zippy whilst the fine nibs mean they are just perfect for little details and embelishments.

Next we have the fineliner’s heftier big brothers, the Staedtler triplus colors. This selection use the same great inks as the previous pens but have a heavier nib meaning you can create big areas of flat colour in a jiffy – no more having to colour the same bit over and over again!

Now on to pencils! Although I love a spot of ink with pencils you can blend colours together and create some really beautiful effects.

The Staedtler ergo soft range are my current favourites. Like the pens, these pencils   have a triangular barrel which sits in your hand just beautifully. An ergonomic pencil surely has to be one life’s little luxuries! These beauties have a soft pencil lead and the most brilliant colour dense pigment, a joy to colour with!

Lastly are the Staedler Noris colour pencils. This packet reminds me so much of being at school, with the traditional black striped, hexagonal pencils. A slightly harder lead for those who like to press a bit firmer, you can sharpen these pencils to a point and they won’t break – great for colouring details and hidden treasures!

So there you have it. 4 great pen and pencils picks for colouring your Enchanted Forest colouring book! Don’t forget you can win a copy of the book and some of the Staedtler goodies by Liking our post on Facebook.
