Limited Edition Collection for Method

Introducing ‘Hummingbird Garden’, my limited edition collection for Method.

I’ve long been a fan of Method and their wonderful work – making household products that not only look and smell divine but which are also good for your family and the environment.

Like most perfect matches, Method and I came together quite by chance. Back in summer 2015, on Evie’s 1st Birthday I posted this picture on Instagram. In the background, were 3 Method products sitting beside my kitchen sink. By chance, the lovely folks at Method saw that picture and the rest, as they say, is history!

Our first task was to create the scent – essentially bringing my inky world to life through fragrance. Method sent lots of little jars and bottles to the studio containing different ingredients and I’d spend hours sniffing them and scribbling notes or sketching. The perfume blend we finally concocted features peony and magnolia – 2 of my favourite blossoms – underpinned by zesty notes of coriander and fruity hints of peach and lychee. I’m biased obviously, but I LOVE IT!

Next up was the artwork. I created 3 different illustrations and we asked the Colouring Community to vote for their favourite. The winner was Hummingbird Garden, a dainty design featuring pairs of love struck hummingbirds surrounded by a flurry of blossoms and foliage. The artwork was coloured using a palette of happy, vibrant tones inspired by the wonderful creations we saw the Colouring Community sharing on social media. A true collaboration!

There are 4 products in the range:

  • Washing –up Liquid
  • Multi-surface cleaner (brilliant for worktops and highchairs!)
  • Gel Hand Wash
  • Foaming Hand Wash (Evie LOVES this! Bubble-tastic!)

My limited edition collection is available now in the UK and Europe. In the UK you can find the handwashes in Sainsburys and the full range in Tesco and Ocado. Sadly, my bubbly bottles won’t be available in the USA, but do feel free to drop Method a line if you’d like to see them there 😉

Don’t forget to check out the the necktags on each bottle for how to download your free colouring sheets and also details on sharing your creations on social media to be in with a chance of winning some Method goodies! Just post your picture using #methodlovesJB to enter.

Have fun and happy cleaning! (I never thought I’d type those words in the same sentence!).
