Keep your Secret Garden colouring book in good company with Wonderlands,

A limited edition picture book that I’ve co-published with DCA to coincide with my exhibition there.

 

The book will be launched tomorrow, Saturday 15^th at the gallery.

The book features some of my favourite pieces from my archive;

Crazy Botanic (the drawing that started my love affair with monochrome, created in 4^th year at Art School),

Peking, Handmade versus Digital, LOVE and Monkey Puzzle to name but a few…

It also contains drawings from pieces featured in the exhibition

And beautiful photographs taken by Sam Brill and Ruth Clark captured the show so succinctly.

 

Together with Art School friend, Richy Lamb of Owned and Operated,

We put together a volume of drawings and images which I hope encapsulates my black and white wonderlands.

 

I’m hugely greatful to the legendary Paul Scharf and the good people at GFSmith for their generosity and advice when it came to picking papers.

 

Each book is wrapped in a silk screen printed dust jacket,

Printed by my own ink smudged hands in the DCA print studio with help from Kirsty.

This was both a labour of love and a terribly stupid idea…

I’m glad we did it though, as now each book is encased within a band of hand crafted black and white pattern,

It feels like a true reflection of me and my work.
