…and 100 Limited Edition Silk Screen Prints

Last week I launched #TwitterPicture, a unique concept merging creativity with social networking platform, Twitter. On Wednesday 14^th and Thursday 15^th October, I invited the Tweeters to get involved and help create the world’s first Twitter inspired artwork. The torrent of tweets came thick and fast, draining several dozen of my beloved fine liners within the first 3 hours.

The result is an inky, hand drawn snap shot of Twitter imaginations over a 48 hour period. The weird and the wonderful, the quirky, the bizarre, the emotional and the political are all captured in delicately penned detail to form this most eclectic of artworks.

Over the next couple of days I’ll be diligently scanning the in the #TwitterPicture and prepping the artwork for screen printing. I’m also in the process of analysing all the Tweets and putting together some rather interesting stats and pie charts on the results! Just how many people requested Meerkats? Why so many top hats? And what on earth is a hanbok?

I’ll be hand printing 100 very exclusive, limited edition silk screen prints of the #TwitterPicture. Each numbered and signed print will be sold with a Twitter Artists’ Certificate, detailing the name and suggestion of every person who contributed in its creation.

Due to high demand, I will be taking orders for the Prints from today:

Price per print is £150.00 + £4.00 P&P*

Tweeters who took part in the project will receive a 25% discount per print.

Just 100 of these little beauties will be printed, so they will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
