Colouring Competition Update

IMG_2055

As most of you will have read this week on Facebook, I’ve had some problems with the voting for the People’s Choice Award in my Magical Jungle Colouring Competition.

My wonderful web team have now changed the voting system to void bulk Liking and UnLiking, but as this only introduced this week, the votes have been very much effected by this glitch.

I am truly sorry that I didn’t pick up on this problem sooner, but I am glad to say the issue is now fixed.

I completely understand Colourists’ frustrations around the issues in the voting system and I’ve read all your emails and messages about this.

I realise too that many of you were very angry that the website problems were going to effect the winner of this particular prize.

With this in mind, I have an announcement, one which I think will save our Colouring Competition from being muddied by the technical errors!

Tomorrow morning are going to remove ALL likes from images in the Magical Jungle Colouring Competition Album.

Don’t worry, your images will still be there, the Like count will just read 0.

We will then EXTEND the deadline to 9am UK time, next Thursday (1st September).

During this time you can of course continue to upload images to the gallery and we will continue to approve them every 24 hours.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award will be open from tonight until the deadline, with only registered users of my website able to vote and with each user only being able to vote for an image once.

All winners will be announced on Thursday 1st September.

To compensate for having to wait an extra week to see the winners, I’m adding a few more inky treats to the prize bundles!

Each winner will now get:

* 24 x Ergo Soft Colouring Pencils

* 36 x Triplus Fineliner Pens

* 24 x Aquarell Karat Watercolour Pencils

* A Staedtler barrel sharpener

* A signed, personalised copy of my new book, Magical Jungle

* A Johanna Basford Colouring Jigsaw Puzzle

* A Johanna Basford Colouring Canvas

* A Johanna Basford Colouring Bookmark (these are new!!)

* And a purple Post-it (because I know how much you all love them! Lol!)

I hope you will agree this is a good solution to our technical issues and will allow ALL Colourists the opportunity to shine!

The Colouring Community is a wonderful, collaborative and creative group of people, I feel it’s important that this competition champions the very best of what we stand for and isn’t tainted by my technical glitches!

Once again, I’m truly sorry that the voting issues happened and want to thank those Colourists who brought it to our attention so the team and I could fix things!

Good Luck and Happy Colouring!

Jx
